You need fat
Not all fat is created equal. Fatty acids are healthy and have protective functions in the human body:
-Â Reducing inflammation
-Â Heart protection
-Â Osteoporosis prevention
Where can you find the good fat? The best source is fish (you should have 2-3 servings a week), nuts, and beans.
Good fatty fish: mackerel, salmon, lake trout, herring, sardines, and albacore tuna
The “Eskimo paradox
In the 1950s, researchers began scratching their heads over the low incidence of heart disease in the dietary-fat-fond Inuit population of Greenland compared with the high rates among Danish settlers who consumed a lower-fat diet. The Inuits showed low rate of coronary heart disease with their high-fat diet.
